Especially created for the mainland China market and lauched in partnership with China Unicom, the iPhone 3G (China/No Wi-Fi), model number A1324, is identical to the 8 GB configuration of the global iPhone 3G, except that it lacks Wi-Fi capability.

Like the global iPhone 3G, the iPhone 3G (China/No Wi-Fi) combines mobile phone, iPod, and Internet capability as well as GPS functionality.

It features a 3.5" display with 320x480 resolution at 163 ppi and has a black plastic back, 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and an intergrated 2.0 megapixel camera that supports "geotagging".

Apple reports that the China-only iPhone 3G provides "up to" 24 hours of audio playback, 10 hours of talk time on 2G, 5 hours of talk time on 3G, 5 hours of Internet use on 3G, 7 hours of video playback and 300 hours of standby time.

The China-only iPhone 3G also uses the same "multi-touch" interface, as well as accelerometer, ambient light, and proximity sensors as the global iPhone 3G model
